On a beautiful spring day, with azalea bushes in full bloom and the sky a bright blue, Caitlin and Chase Hinson were married in front of friends and family in the Salem Stallway at the Grace Barn. It was a fairytale moment years in the making, as the high school sweethearts tied the knot after dating for almost eight years.
The beauty of the Salem Stallway for the backdrop of the ceremony was one of the many reasons Caitlin fell in love with Legacy Stables and Events and chose it as her wedding venue. The setting, with the barn doors open to allow a view of the outdoors, was a perfect match for this nature-loving couple.
The length of the stallway itself was also a highlight for Caitlin. “The other venues we toured seemed to try to pack a lot of people in a small space, but here the guests are set up along the length of the stallway, which allows for a longer aisle for the processional,” Caitlin says. As Caitlin and her father walked arm in arm down the aisle, there was plenty of time to soak in the moment, gazing into the eyes of Chase as their chosen song, Kina Grannis’ cover of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” played in the background.
Location and Beauty at Legacy Stables and Events
When Chase and Caitlin toured Legacy Stables and Events, they immediately fell in love with the venue. The beauty of the grounds all around had Caitlin imagining all sorts of photo opportunities, and on the big day, she and the bridal party took plenty of pictures at the Legacy House and other locations where the spring flowers provided a colorful backdrop.
Caitlin and Chase chose to hold their wedding mid-afternoon, allowing for an earlier reception than most to give guests plenty of time to enjoy themselves. To help Caitlin not feel rushed before the ceremony, the photographer offered to take pictures of the bride and groom at sunset, as things were winding down.
“That ended up being one of the most special parts of the entire day,” Caitlin says. “We had the chance to get a few moments to ourselves, to just soak up all of what had happened and enjoy being together.” The photographer led the couple to the barn, a path surrounded by azaleas, and a beautiful wooden bridge for pictures. “Being at Legacy Stables and Events is like having access to multiple venues all at once, as the entire grounds are just gorgeous,” Caitlin says.
Another benefit was the convenient Triad location. Caitlin and Chase grew up in High Point and attended Ragsdale High School, so their families and many of their long-time friends lived in the area. For their out-of-town guests, Legacy Stables and Events’ proximity to Winston-Salem meant there were plenty of hotels and entertainment venues nearby to make for a fun weekend, as well as the ability to take an Uber right to the wedding on the big day.
Resources and Support Make it Easy on the Bride
Like many brides-to-be, Caitlin planned her wedding while also working a full-time job. Working with the talented team at Legacy Stables and Events helped make all of the planning and organizing go smoothly, thanks to the all-inclusive packages offered and the many trusted resources offered by the venue.
“Working with Caitlynn, the director of weddings and social events, made everything so much easier,” Caitlin says. “I felt like my mind was just going a million different places, and they helped keep me focused. They were so helpful with the planning and giving advice on vendors, and responsive to all my emails, which took a lot of stress off of me.”
Signing on for the all-inclusive package meant Caitlin and Chase used the catering services at Legacy Stables and Events which included food, beverages, and linens for the reception. “We worked with the menus provided by Chef Adam, and there were plenty of choices to have what we wanted to serve our guests,” Caitlin says.
Thanks to the entire team at Legacy Stables and Events, Caitlin and Chase have a day full of great memories to build their life together upon. “I’m so glad we chose to have our wedding here because it was just beautiful in so many ways,” Caitlin says. “The services they provide make the process simple and easy, and the location is just awesome, simple and elegant, just what I’d always dreamed of for my wedding.”
